PAYING IT FORWARD – EDISON ALUMNI AND FRIENDS LEGACY FUND
Since it’s inception, the Edison Community & Sports Foundation has given out over $695,000 in scholarships to the studetns at Thomas Edison High School.
Through your support of the Edison Community & Sports Foundation, you are helping not only to recognize these students with scholarship awards, but also to improve student areas in the building; e.g. the weight room and to encourage Edison Tommies to reach for their full potential.

Your Edison Community & Sports Foundation Board is taking steps to establish a LEGACY FUND for the use of alumni and friends.
The fund would offer a full range of life income and other types of planned gifts for donors to help the Thomas Edison students of the future, and enjoy life income and tax benefits at the same time.
THE BOARD IS EXPLORING
- A Pooled Income Fund
- Charitable Gift Annuities
- Deferred Payment Gift Annuities
- Annuity Trusts
- Unitrusts
When approved, these would become available to alumni and friends in addition to bequests, gifts of life insurance and gifts from IRA’s and 401K’s.
