Current Recipients
The Edison Community & Sports Foundation for the 27th straight year is awarding scholarships to eleven of this years graduates. These recipients will continue to do Edison proud.
The Edison Community Sports Foundation is pleased to announce that the
PETE GUZY SCHOLARSHIPS went to MERINDA TURNER and TODD BRANDON in the amount of 1,500.00 each. This scholarship was established in 1984 in honor of Pete Guzy, Edison High School teacher and coach from 1935 to 1971, and is presented each year to the male and female student athlete of the senior class who best display out-standing scholarship athletics, and extra curricular activities while at Edison. This is presented by the Edison Community & Sports Foundation.
THE ART SOLZ MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPS this year went to PETER XIONG and ELISSA HENDERSON in the amount of $1,000.00 each and are one year awards.
This scholarship was established in memory of ART SOLZ , who was a founding member of the Edison Community Sports Foundation and was inducted into the HALL OF FAME. He was a dynamic booster of Edison High School and its functions.
The GUIL PARSONS Scholarships in the amount of $1,000.00 were awarded to PAHOUA THAO and PHONGXAI VANG
The EDISON FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP in the amount of $1,000.00 was awarded to THER YANG.
New this year, LORRAINE LINDAHL SCHOLARSHIP was presented to TEISHKA BANKS, in the amount of $1,500.00.
ROBERT NEHOTT SCHOLARSHIP, in the amount of $1,500.00.
New this year, MICHAEL & VICKY IACARELLA NE SCHOLARSHIPS, in the amount of $500.00 each went to MARVELS CORTEZ and JOHN McCREADY.
In total, Edison Community & Sports Foundation gave $12,000.00 in scholarships to hard working Edison students.

Over 1.5 million in scholarships were given out at Edison High School in 2011 that is an increase of about 50% over last year.
Congratulations to all, and many thanks to everyone who donated financially, and to those who attended our May Dinner, and who Golf in our tournament, YOU help make this all possible.
The Annual Scholarship Ceremony took place in June, at the Edison High School Gymnasium. The ECSF awarded $14,000 to deserving student athletes. Please click on the “scholarships-past recipients” button for a complete list of recipients over the years.
