Current Recipients

The Edison Community Sports Foundation is pleased to announce that SAMANTHA JOHNSON and MOUA AMEND have been selected as the 2009 recipients of  the PETE GUZY SCHOLARSHIPS, in the amount of 2,000.00 each. This scholarship was established in 1984 in honor of Pete Guzy, Edison High School teacher and coach from 1935 to 1971, and is presented each year to the male and female student athlete of the senior class who best display out-standing scholarship athletics, and extra curricular activities while at Edison. This is presented by the Edison Community Sports Foundation.  

The GUIL PARSONS Scholarships in the amount of $1,500.00 were awarded to XIA XIONG and LY VANG.  

The Edison Foundation Scholarships were  awarded to PA XIONG and  LATREASURE DICKSON, also in the amount of $1,500.00. These are all one year awards.

 
THE ART SOLZ MEMORIAL Scholarship this year went to MARIAH LENON in the amount of $1,500.00 each and are also one year awards. This scholarship was established in memory of ART SOLZ , who was a founding member of the Edison Community Sports Foundation and was inducted into the HALL OF FAME. He was a dynamic booster of Edison High School and its functions.

ROBERT NEHOTT Scholarship in the amount of $1,500.00. This years award went to  SABRINA HENKE.
 
The Annual Scholarship Ceremony took place in June, at the Edison High School Gymnasium. The ECSF awarded $11,500 to deserving student athletes. Please click on the “scholarships-past recipients” button for a complete list of recipients over the years.
